Welcome

A NOTE ABOUT THIS GUIDE

Gorrono Ranch, named after the family that built it in the 1800's, is one of the most unique & beautiful wedding venues in Telluride, CO. Located right in the middle of the ski resort on the mountain, it offers breathtaking views of Wilson Peak, commonly known as the "Coors Mountain." The brilliance of the location is that the sun sets right over the Wilson Mountain Range and makes for the perfect backdrop for wedding portraits.

The venue is accessed by a country road in the summer and a snowcat sleigh in the winter, offering your guests the ride of lifetime. It has two wooden decks, one of which is used for weddings and offers the most breathtaking view of the San Juan Mountains, specifically Wilson Peak.

Thank you again for choosing to work with me and please don't hesitate to let me know if I can offer any additional guidance throughout the wedding planning process!

There are two historic cabins, one known as the Gorrono Ranch Saloon, outside of the main lodge that provide the perfect spot for getting ready prior to your wedding.
The wooden cabins offer that special Colorado touch, with the saloon containing a wood burning stove! The Saloon may also be used as a private bourban bar during your reception.

Getting Ready Cabins

Gorrono Ranch consists of two elegant dining rooms inside the main lodge, each accompanied by stone fireplaces. There is plenty of room for a luxury dining experience, as well as DJs, dancing, and more!

The food prepared by Gorrono's executive chef is quite simply perfectionand there are multiple options to create the menu of your dreams under candle light.

Ceremony Site

This deck is the ideal
wedding ceremony location

That moment the Bride and Groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day is magical. And this is true whether the couple chooses to wait until the bride walks down the aisle or chooses to do a “first look’ prior to the ceremony.

First looks—a private moment couples choose to spend together prior to the wedding ceremony—have become more popular over the last few years. About half of my couples this year have chosen to do a first look.

While I consider myself a person who values tradition, there are definitely a few good reasons to consider a first look.

Consider Unplugging

If you've been to a wedding recently, you may have seen a sign from the happy couple asking for their guests to remain "unplugged" during the ceremony.

And while it might seem like a strange requests to ask guests to put down their phones, there's a pretty good reason for it! You made a big investment in photography and I'm sure one of the last things you want on your wedding day is for my photos of your ceremony to be filled with obtrusive iPhones, iPads and relatives standing in the aisle with their own cameras. In order to help me do the best possible job capturing your wedding, I recommend asking guests to unplug during the ceremony.
